I heartily agree with the spriit of this article. Sally is to be commended for her strength to speak out and let people hear a more sane attitude toward the efforts of Emmanuel Milingo.

Hats off to Emmanuel Milingo and his wife, and good luck. The sooner the Vatican admits that celibacy for some is next to impossible, the better. Making it a condition of priesthood creates problems that could be avoided.
The Catholic Church has created this taboo against a married clergy, and to my knowledge, it is nowhere to be found in the teachings of Christ. I would like to know in what way Milingo is "creating serious upset and scandal among the faithful."
