Archbishop Miligo decided to venture beyond 800 years of Roman Catholic celibate tradition by marrying rather than be twisted in knots around the the second blessing. Meanwhile, the Roman Catholic Church is daily embroiled in more and more lawsuits as more an more sexual abuse is revealed by the victims of current and past members of religious orders. It takes courage to move against the way it has always been done.

Hm. I wonder. Can the cycles of history be restored without venturing into the caldron of current events? Are we able tor recognize where we are and take effective, corrective action. I am thinking it is being a part of the maelstrom of events which determines whether the destructive cycle is repeated or transformed. Who can say with assurance that the die has been cast, history has been repeated? I'll leave that to God. For me, we are at a threshold. The crux is . . . have enough of the Creator's children matured sufficiently to transform a historical mistake rather than be run over by it? Are we observing history cycling as victims and by-standers or are we able to "carpe diem".

Defend Marriage: Sign the Petition

President Obama’s unilateral finding that DOMA is unconstitutional, and his directive that DOJ no longer defend DOMA in litigation, amounts to an end run on the Constitution that would short-circuit the judicial process, giving the President striking new powers to retroactively accept or reject laws passed by Congress. While I am grateful that the House will intervene to ensure that the law is defended, and that it receives a full and vigorous defense, no President has the authority to unilaterally pick and choose which laws are deserving of a legal defense.

The American people have clearly spoken when it comes to marriage, rejecting same-sex marriage in all 31 states where the question has been put to the ballot. Legislators in 14 other states have done the same thing. But at the same time, activist federal judges have issued rulings that threaten to strip millions of Americans of their civil right to vote for marriage, overthrowing the marriage laws of 45 states. A federal judge in San Francisco has already struck down Proposition 8, invalidating the will of 7 million California voters. A federal judge in Boston is attempting to strike down DOMA as well.

Like the vast majority of Americans, I believe marriage is the union of a husband and a wife. I do not want activist judges to take away our right to define marriage . . . or to redefine marriage so that schoolchildren are taught that their parents are bigots. Please stand for marriage by opposing any effort to repeal DOMA, and by supporting H.Con.Res. 25, calling on President Obama and the Department of Justice to honor their constitutional obligation to defend DOMA, ensuring that the rights of American voters are respected, and that marriage remains the union of one man and one woman.

My dark mood was reinforced by the carelessly strewn <a class="zem_slink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cigarette" rel="wikipedia" title="Cigarette">cigarette</a> butts, coke cans and more littering the bus stop's unloved, dusty ground.<br /><br />An image of a <a class="zem_slink freebase/en/japanese_rock_garden" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_rock_garden" rel="wikipedia" title="Japanese rock garden">Zen garden</a> which moved me flashed before me.  "Ah!  I will speak my message without words" <br /><br />Enthusiastically grasping a scraggly branch it became a boom-like rake for clearing the ground until it was pristine and uniform.  Stray rocks were brushed to reveal their original surface.  Studying the scene and positioned the rocks  in reference to where the bus would stop and where passengers would exit.   Modifying my branch broom still more I began tracing rhythmic, resonant lines around the rocks. Time flew as I imagined what might happen when the students arrived.  Just beyond the hill's crest the sound of an approaching bus grew louder and I moved a step or two away, dropping my trusty branch<br />. <br />For the next few hours <a class="zem_slink freebase/en/bus" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bus" rel="wikipedia" title="Bus">buses</a> arrived, stopped and students emerged.  Hesitating for a moment to avoid the Zen garden, they continued their trek. The Zen garden remained pristine and untouched.<br /><br />I smiled. Finally, the last student left the the last bus of the day.  He respectfully stepped around the Zen Garden and stopped to consider it for a few moments.  Looking up he saw and seemed to recognize me and noticed my trusty 'branch broom'.  Motioning to the Zen Garden,  he asked "Why?"  <br /><br />I smiled and explained.<br /><br />The complexity and beauty around us is designed, not an accident.  I created these patterns in the <a class="zem_slink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dust" rel="wikipedia" title="Dust">dust</a>. You and the other students noticed and responded by not stepping on the 'garden'.  Motioning around me I continued, "The creator has caused everything we see to take form and in some cases to live.  My purpose here was to bring out the  . . . The entrepreneurial poor apply for loans: </b>    <br />A traditional bank loan is unattainable for most of the world’s poor. They have no credit, they may own no property, and if they have a business, it’s likely struggling despite long hours of hard work. Through a variety of strategies like group lending through community banks, and cross-guarantees, loans can effectively and efficiently be provided to people who lack collateral but who demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit, trustworthiness, a good work ethic, and sound business ideas. World Vision disburses microloans: </b>    <br />Loan sizes vary from $50 to $5,000, most typically in the $100 to $2,000 range. Usually loans are given to groups of five to 30 microbusiness operators who band together for self-administration, mutual encouragement, and accountability. This ensures that even the poorest of the poor can have access to credit because these entrepreneurs cross-guarantee each other’s loans and support each other’s businesses. These loan-and-savings circles provide efficient and cost-effective delivery of financial services to some of the poorest in the world. Integrated with other interventions to meet development needs, World Vision helps transform entire communities. </p>  <p>     <br /><i>Opportunity for the poorest</i><i> - </i>Community Banking creates an opportunity for the poorest to obtain credit. Entrepreneurs typically band together in self-selected groups of 15 to 30 members to form a lending group and elect their own leaders. It is important that groups self-select responsible members whom they trust, because the entire group acts as a guarantor for every member’s loan. Members are then trained in effective loan management and leadership skills. </p>  <p>     <br /><i>Cost-effective</i><i> - </i>Because loan officers work with groups rather than individuals in training and handling loans, the costs of Community Banking are low. This methodology also enables cost-effective provision of loans as small as $50. World Vision lends money to the Community Bank, which in turn, lends money to each member. Members must save a specified amount before they receive a loan. </p>  <p>     <br /><i>High loan repayment rates</i><i> - </i>Loan repayment rates in community banks are extremely high. The group requires weekly meetings, where loans are tracked and repaid. These meetings also provide an excellent forum for encouragement and spiritual input, as well as training in business management, or in topics such as health care, HIV/AIDS education, or improved nutrition. This extra education is taught by the World Vision development project staff according to their areas of expertise. </p>  <p>     <br /><i>Positive impact</i><i> - </i>Ultimately, Community Bank members improve their entrepreneurial skills, their incomes increase, their businesses thrive, jobs are created for the community, and families and the entire community benefits. Household heads can more easily afford school fees, provide improved nutrition, and adequate health care. The enterprise-minded begin to lift themselves and their families out of poverty and fuel their community’s economy. </p>  <p>As Community Bank members repay their loans, they are eligible for larger loans. Eventually, enterprising members with a good repayment record are allowed to form smaller Solidarity Groups and receive more sizable loans. <a name="solidarity"></a></p>  <p><b>>> Solidarity Groups</b>     <br />Designed for more experienced and larger enterprises, Solidarity Groups are smaller than Community Banks, with an average of three to six people who guarantee each other’s loans. Members who make repayments on time become eligible for large individual loans. Loan sizes range from $300 to $800.<a name="individual"></a> </p>  <p><b>>> Individual Loans</b>     <br />Clients who have either grown their own businesses successfully through a solidarity group or have medium-sized businesses qualify for loans ranging from $500 to $5,000. These loans typically require either two guarantors or collateral. <p><strong>Academic Freedom on Evolution Student Video and Essay Contest</strong> </p>  <p><a href="http://www.discovery.org/scripts/viewDB/filesDB-download.php?command=download&id=3411">Click here</a> to download entry form     <br /><strong>What this Is</strong>     <br />A student video and essay contest inspired by Charles Darwin’s comment that <strong>“A fair result can be obtained only by fully stating and balancing the facts and arguments on both sides of each question.”</strong> The contest seeks the best student-created videos and essays that  communicate support for academic freedom to explore the evidence for and against Darwinian evolution  (for example, an entry might defend the right of teachers to present scientific evidence that challenges Darwinian evolution, or the right of scientists to conduct research about the theory of intelligent design). Entries will be judged based on their creativity, their accuracy, and their persuasiveness. The contest is sponsored by the <a href="http://www.discovery.org/csc">Center for Science</a> and Culture at Discovery Institute. </p>  <p><strong><em><a name="videos"></a></em>Entry Rules</strong><strong> </strong>    <br /><strong><em>Essays</em></strong> submitted should be authored by a single student and should be no longer than 2,000 words. For a generation <b><i>Piltdown was the ' missing link', the affirmation of the true scientific fact of evolution</i></b>.  However, analysis and time revealed Piltdown was a fabrication of a Darwinist zealot who joined a human skull with an ape jaw. Piltdown turned out to be a fabrication.  Many students in Universities during heydays of Piltdown were being taught 'evolution' as scientific fact.  They have grown needing to affirm the validity of their evolutionary science rather than engaging the scientific debate. <strong>The educated prodigy of the Piltdown era now insist that evolution is scientific fact.</strong>  <p>I believe Palin's approach will stand much better because it allows people to decide based on the best information/science available.  Simply forcing students to drink evolution or creationism 'kool aid' is not science.   <p><strong>Yeah Palin!  I agree with Palin's Stance.  Now the article that percolated this posting from yours truly.</strong>  <p>Responding to a request for clarification of Palin's stance, a spokesman sent a list of news stories from when she was governor. "Florida is the sixth-highest in the nation for pregnant teens, and that tells us we need to get information to our students," Judy Klinek, who oversees health education for the district, told the newspaper. Since Florida law requires abstinence-based education, 6th-graders in the past have learned about sexually transmitted diseases and taught how to resist pressure to engage in sexual behavior, the report said. (Story continues below) Now, however, students will get "detailed" lessons in contraceptives, a move that is part of a larger effort to make such lessons mandatory statewide. "[The Florida Planned Parenthood abortion providers are] proud to work with Sen. Ted Deutch, D-30, and Rep. Dorothy Bendross-Mindingall, D-109, to introduce the Healthy Teens Act (SB 848, HB 449) during the 2008 Legislative session," the groups' website said. "The Healthy Teens Act protects Florida's teens by requiring that public schools receiving state funding provide comprehensive, medically accurate, and age-appropriate factual information when teaching about sexually transmitted infections." The website specifically listed AIDS and pregnancy among those "sexually transmitted infections." "One of the lessons & gives tips on how to store and use condoms and encourages teachers to invite a medical professional to demonstrate their use. Students also will be told where to get more information on contraceptives," the newspaper report about Palm Beach County said. The changes are being installed, officials reported, because they believe introducing children to contraceptives and their use will impact the county's rates for teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. From <a href="http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/Read.aspx?GUID=28F0F6CF-CE98-4505-96E6-1B7D85D1564A">FrontPage</a> (news links in the original):  <blockquote>"I invite you to embrace Islam,” says Osama bin Laden in his latest videotape. Most analysts take this as pious window-dressing and focus on what they believe to be the more substantive points of his message: his comments on the war in Iraq, his critique of capitalism, the similarity of much of what he says to Democratic Party talking points, and the like. But in fact the invitation to Islam is the heart, and the most revealing aspect, of bin Laden’s entire statement.  <p><strong><font color="#800000">The chief reason for this, of course, is because in traditional Islamic law, the invitation to Islam must precede an attack on non-Muslims.</font></strong> The Islamic prophet Muhammad makes this clear, directing Muslims to issue this invitation first, and if the unbelievers refuse, to invite them to enter the Islamic social order as second-class dhimmis, and if they refuse both, to go to war with them:  <blockquote><font color="#800000">Fight in the name of Allah and in the way of Allah. Fight against those who disbelieve in Allah. Make a holy war, do not embezzle the spoils; do not break your pledge; and do not mutilate (the dead) bodies; do not kill the children. When you meet your enemies who are polytheists, invite them to three courses of action. If they respond to any one of these, you also accept it and withhold yourself from doing them any harm. Invite them to (accept) Islam; if they respond to you, accept it from them and desist from fighting against them....If they refuse to accept Islam, demand from them the Jizya [the poll tax on non-Muslims]. If they agree to pay, accept it from them and hold off your hands. If they refuse to pay the tax, seek Allah's help and fight them. (Sahih Muslim 4294)</font></blockquote></blockquote><a></a> <blockquote><font color="#804040">Is, then, a major attack imminent? There are numerous indications of that – suggesting that one of the primary audiences, at least for this part of Osama’s message, is the Islamic world. If such an attack comes, Osama has by means of this videotape attempted to forestall criticism by Muslims, and has laid claim to Islamic legitimacy for Al-Qaeda’s actions.</font>  <p>But there is also a still wider significance to Osama’s invitation to Islam. He offers in this videotape a cultural critique of the Judeo-Christian West. This critique doesn’t focus on the exportation of its immoral pop culture, which some think is the primary, if not sole, grievance of the Islamic world against the West; Osama doesn’t mention that at all here. Rather, he concentrates on its religion: “You believe with absolute certainty that you believe in Allah, and you are full of conviction of this belief, so much that you have written this belief of yours on your dollar. But the truth is that you are mistaken in this belief of yours.”  <p>Why? He lists two reasons: “you associate others with Him in your beliefs and separate state from religion.” Both of these criticisms focus on Christianity: Islam regards the divinity of Christ as an unacceptable and polytheistic association of a partner with God, and rejects the sacred/secular distinction that is ultimately derived from Christ’s directive to “render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s” (Matthew 22:21). Bin Laden charges the West with “manifest polytheism,” criticizing its making laws “in contradiction to [Allah’s] Law and methodology.” This is an integral part of his invitation to Islam: since Islam is a political and social system as well as a religious faith, to accept it is not merely to change one’s religious affiliation: it would fundamentally alter the nature of Western society.  <p>The call to implement Islamic Sharia law in its fullness as an antidote to the ills of society is resonating throughout the Islamic world, with severe challenges to relatively secular regimes being mounted recently in Malaysia, Turkey, and Pakistan. Jihadists base their appeal in the Islamic world on the purity of their Islam, and on the proposition that obedience to Allah brings worldly success, as Osama says: “And our holding firm to this magnificent Book is the secret of our strength and winning of the war against you despite the fewness of our numbers and materiel.”  <p>Six years after 9/11, and a year and a half after Donald Rumsfeld observed that “We need to find ways to win the ideological battle as well,” the jihadists’ ideological challenge is not being answered adequately. Osama’s challenge to Christianity and advocacy of Sharia is an opportunity for Western leaders to stress the aspects of Judeo-Christian civilization that Sharia law denies: notably the equality of dignity of men and women and the freedom of conscience. But no Western leader will do this, because it would contradict the multiculturalist dogma that no civilization or culture has any virtues that any others do not possess. The centrality of the jihadists’ cultural challenge to the West, and Western unwillingness to respond to this challenge, is a chief theme of my book <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1596985151/002-4986521-7864813?ie=UTF8&tag=robertspencer-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=1789&creativeASIN=1596985151">Religion of Peace? Why Christianity Is and Islam Isn’t</a>, but it is getting little attention elsewhere; even conservative media figures are hesitant to discuss the cultural conflict. The ideological challenge that the jihadists are making to the West remains the single most misunderstood aspect of the war on terror. (...) Capgemini, based in Paris, France, influences the type of software used on more than 1 million personal computers in companies worldwide. Its major customers include drug maker Eli Lilly & Co. and accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers."<br>While this doesn't mean Google is going to get a lot of new customers, the awareness of Google Apps will increase. I want to congratulate them. I'm confident they will prove to be worthy of their pastoral assignments.  <p>However, despite these ordinations, Rochester is among many dioceses nationwide experiencing a sharp decline the numbers of clergy, due to a large number of retirements and a shortage of men willing to commit to a life of celibacy. Women continue to be barred from ordained ministry as well.  <p>I consider my membership in Corpus: National Association for an Inclusive Priesthood to be one of the major blessings in my life. While most Corpus members are formerly active priests who later married, I was ordained a married priest on Dec. 10, 2006, by Zambian Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo, himself a married priest who had been excommunicated.  <p>Furthermore, I am certified as a married priest for weddings, funerals and baptisms by the Federation of Christian Ministries, although I am not allowed to administer sacramental functions in Diocese of Rochester churches.  <p>All married priests have experienced what amounts to being shunned by certain segments of faith communities, despite various polls indicating that most Catholics support the addition of married priests.  <p>There are approximately 20,000 married priests in the United States, most of whom were able to find secular jobs after being ousted from their respective diocesan positions. In this regard, it is good to recall that married priests were commonplace until 1139, when mandatory celibacy was imposed on clergy.  <p>While there is a clergy-shortage crisis, membership in the Roman Catholic Church worldwide continues to grow. Consequently, there is about one ordained celibate priest per 3,500 Catholics in the United States. Five years?  2012?</p> <blockquote> <p>The case of Sguotti has again reignited the debate over priestly celibacy, particularly because the woman in question has a young son, who Sguotti said he had helped name. <p><em><font color="#008000"> All of mankind have a conscience.  The conscience will prevail over the barbarism used the misguided religious fervor of Muslim fanatical jehadists like Al-Qaeda.  Here is an example.</font></em> Could this happen to the people chasing Milingo?</p> <blockquote> <p>“Al-Qaeda’s days are numbered and right now he is scrambling,” said Lieutenant-Colonel Stephen Michael, who commands a battalion of 700 troops in Doura.  <p>A key factor is that local people and members of al-Qaeda itself have become sickened by the violence and are starting to rebel, Lieutenant-Colonel Michael said. “The people have got to deny them sanctuary and that is exactly what is happening.”  <p>Al-Qaeda informants comprise largely members of the Doura network who found themselves either working with the group after the US-led invasion in March 2003, or signed up to earn extra cash because there were no other jobs going. Disgusted at the attacks and intimidation techniques used on friends, neighbours and even relatives, they are now increasingly looking for a way out, US officers say.  <p>“It is only after al-Qaeda has become truly barbaric and done things like, to teach lessons to people, cut their face off with piano wire in front of their family and then murdered everybody except one child who told the tale afterwards . . . that people realise how much of a mess they are in,” Lieutenant James Danly, 31, who works on military intelligence in Doura, said.  <p>It is impossible to corroborate the claims, but he said that scores of junior al-Qaeda in Iraq members there had become informants since May, including one low-level cell leader who gave vital information after his arrest.  <p>“He gave us dates, places and names and who did what,” Lieutenant Danly said. When asked why he was being so forthcoming, the man said: “Because I am sick of it and I hate them, and I am done.”  <p>Working with insurgents – even those who claim to have switched sides – is a leap of faith for both sides. Every informant who visits Forward Operating Base Falcon, a vast military camp on the southern outskirts of Baghdad, is blindfolded when brought in and out to avoid gleaning any information about his surroundings.  <p>The risk sometimes pays off. <h1>Banaz Mahmod Hospital Cell Phone Death Prophesy</h1>

<p>Two months after this cell phone video recording in a hospital an honour killing by a 'father' of a daughter who loved the 'wrong' person.  She was raped and murdered by her father's band of thugs. This is more than the wrong man from the wrong country. <p>What I heard at church.</p> <p><strong>A STORY THAT OUTGHT TO BE TRUE</strong>: Itzhak Perlman</p> <blockquote> <p>With crutches he moves slowly to center stage with his violin.  Seating himself raising his violin He begins to play.  About half way through the piece a string breaks.  Without stopping Itzack adjusts, and makes the crippled violin produce the expected beauty. Later, Itzhak answers a question about the incident, "Sometimes when offering a work of beauty the experience is so intoxicating everyone and everything performs beyond limit.  Today it happened with me, my violin and the audience."</p> <p>Our pastor said that when this story was researched he found that the story was really <a href="http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/Itzhak+Perlman">Urban Legend</a>.  However, didn't we all feel this 'broken' story SHOULD be true?  It OUGHT to be true.</p></blockquote> <p><strong>A MARVELOUS STORY THAT IS TRUE</strong>: The Clinical Psychologist and the Ward for the criminally insane. <h1>Parents' Day : Sunday July 22nd Darfur and Milingo</h1>

<p>In the final analysis.  Parents and their families will arise to become the real saviors in this Darfur  and celebrate vocations situation.  Ultimately, parents will someday say, "Our family will not participate in this murderous hatred regardless of whether someone says, "It is the will of Allah."  We will build Dafur as we have raised our families, with a love which lives for others. We will defend our families from those who would use fear and death to cow us into submission/extinction.</p> <p>There is a story in the Haditah (oral traditions of Islam) of a brother who converted to Islam and who went to his non-Muslim brother to convert him.  When his brother ask what he, his brother, would do if he did not accept . . . his Muslim brother quickly responded that he would have killed him.   With that testimony the non-Muslim brother responded, " I shall become Muslim since there is such a religious belief which could move one brother to commit murder upon a non-believing brother. This is a strong religion indeed and I shall join it."  </p> <p><strong><em><font color="#8000ff">The same courage will have to come from priests and nuns who are beginning to recognize that the call to live for others is born out most completely as parents as the nurture their family for God and Mankind.  By doing so they leave an eternal legacy.  Milingo is a champion for this worthy effort.</font></em></strong></p> <p>Fear and threats will not prevail over unconditional, parental love.  This is my absolute conviction. Someday, the reminder of a vicious, murderous act executed in ignorance, propelled by the maintainers of the status quo must be separated from love undeterred by persecution. Miserable murder does not have to befall the harbinger of more truth and responsibility in our relationship with our creator, our families and the creation.</span></em></p><p><em><span style="color:#009900;">3) <strong>The removal of the crucifix should be a ceremony</strong> honoring the determination to persevere to live and bring the message of living for others at the price of one's own life. She said humans and not God made the move and therefore, the former archbishop still had God' approval. Mrs Milingo, who was speaking at a  press briefing in Lusaka yesterday said besides the action being nonsensical, the archbishop lived like a prisoner when he associated with the church.  "He was excommunicated by humans, God does not excommunicate anyone. It was nonsense," Ms Milingo said.</p><p>snippit<br /></p><p>She said she was grateful to God for the protection and guidance in her life, saying when the couple got married five years ago, the former archbishop suggested that they return to Zambia where she could concentrate on her medical profession.  She said she had been able to cure close to 1,000 ailments in Lusaka and promised to mobilize other doctors to come to Zambia.  While her husband was a spiritual doctor, Mrs Milingo said she was a secular medical practitioner.<br /></p><p>"If I can, I will mobilize medical personnel to cure and offer services free of charge. My husband's focus is on spiritual work, my focus is charity work," she said.<br /></p></blockquote>Mr. and Mrs. Milingo are just what the doctor ordered. <strong>U.S. priest challenges celibacy</strong><br />By ANDREW WELSH-HUGGINS The Associated Press<br /><br />UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio (AP) — The former seminary president who sparked a national debate in the United States on the impact of gays entering the Roman Catholic priesthood is now tackling another sensitive issue, adding his voice to those advocating an end to mandatory celibacy.<br /><br />"Celibacy used to go with priesthood as fish went with Fridays," said Rev. Donald Cozzens. "Over the past 40 to 50 years, I would argue that more and more Catholics are questioning the need to link celibacy with priesthood."<br /><br />In Freeing Celibacy, Cozzens suggests there may be a way through the problem by allowing celibacy as an option but dropping it as a requirement.<br /><br />Although he is taking on an institution that measures change over centuries, Cozzens — a celibate priest himself — thinks the time is right for a rethinking of celibacy.<br /><br />He points to the brief stir Brazilian Claudio Cardinal Hummers created last year by saying the Vatican should reconsider its ban on allowing priests to marry, and the crusade to change the policy by excommunicated — and married — former archbishop Emmanuel Milingo of Zambia.<br /><br /><br />--------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br /><br />Source: The ChronicleHerald.ca Halifax, Nova Scotia<br /><br />This is a proof. Grosswirth (pictured above, far right) of Rochester, N.Y., and Dominic Riccio (pictured above, second from right), of Newark, were installed by Zambian Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo.<br /><br />The ceremony, in a blue-collar neighborhood situated directly across the Hudson River from midtown Manhattan, concluded a two-day convention of Milingo's advocacy group, Married Priests Now!<br /><br />``Teach the word of God and put into practice what you teach,'' Milingo said to Grosswirth and Riccio during the ceremony.<br /><br /><br />``What I tell people is that I still love the church, despite its problems, and I'm hoping that by my actions, there will be more attention brought to the fact that countless men and women are being called to the priesthood and yet Rome has closed the door on them,'' Grosswirth said. ``Currently, there's one celibate priest for every 3,500 Catholics in the world and frankly, something needs to change.''<br />Joining Milingo at the altar were bishops from as far away as Brazil, the Philippines and Albania. Also in attendance were the Rev. Peter Paul Brennan and the Rev. <h1>ISG: a study in the tolerance of gobal, ideologically guided terrorism.</h1>

<p><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12pt">Before the Dec 7th bombing of Pearl Harbor the U.S. was negotiating with Japan.  Is it significant that the ISG (Iraq Study Group) comes out with a <span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>tolerance of global, ideologically guided terrorism</strong></span> plan for Iraq the day before Dec. 7th..  They see the tip of the iceberg but Titanic-like they proceed with a plan which will lead to the continued degeneration of a fearful, materialistic, godless culture already filled with self loathing.   </span></p>

Lewis.  Seeing yet more light  radiating from a  recently polished facet of their work gives me goose bumps and tingles. A friend of mine, William Lay, shared the following:</span></strong></em></p>

<h1>The New York Police Incident</h1>

<p><span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  >How about the NYC policemen who killed a man who appears to have been using his car to try to kill them. The next day NYC's Mayor doubts the wisdom of the police's action in public.<br /></span></p><span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  >Next thing you'll be reading about a policeman who stands by doing nothing as someone rapes, beats, shoots, robs someone. Why? Because you've allowed the position of the police to be gutted by lawsuits and lack of support through the leadership your Mayor.</span><span style="font-size:100%;"><br /></span><p><span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:85%;"  ><span style="font-size:100%;">The Mayor should have spoken in this way . . .</span> </span></p>    <blockquote><p><span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  >A<em>s is always the case in a situation like this . . . <span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(153, 0, 0);">there will be an investigation</span>. I will not prejudice this investigation by speculating on what happened and why. Our policemen put themselves in harms way everyday to protect the well being of our community. The policemen and the families involved in this incident need our prayers now.
